Non-Christian teachers preferred at public school | News To Me with George Mathis

I am the product of a catholic education (grades 1-8) and public high school (grades 9-12). I got a good education, because I put a lot of work into my studies and assignments. The old saying that “you get out of live what you put into it” applies to schooling also. Sure, better parents would help greatly, but this comment about “better teachers” means nothing. Just what does the blogger mean by this? Better how? Better educated? Non-union vs union? Master’s degree preferred? And the big question, just what are the school systems prepared to do to get these “better teachers”? Are the schools going to pay them better, give them better benefits, talk and treat them in a respectable manner? Or does the blogger think that teachers have no opportunities outside of education and therefore, can talk and treat them as if what they are concerned about does matter in the scheme of things? School teachers of all stripes have been under assault by politicans and the media alike over the last 10 years or so and it is no wonder that these very well educated folks take their skills, talent and energy elsewhere (and charter schools aren’t any better). This blog post needs work.
